For 18 years, The Pumpkin Ball has delivered on its promise to help children served by Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and Vanessa Behan. Since its inception, this black-tie gala has raised over $3 million, after expenses, to benefit our region’s youngest and most vulnerable citizens thanks to the generous community.
Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital offers a complete range of pediatric specialists under one roof. Our medical staff is made up of more than 120 pediatric specialists representing 28 pediatric specialties–and we’re still growing! For more information, please visit www.shmcchildren.org.
Vanessa Behan is a community-funded, non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in the Spokane area. Since 1987, Vanessa Behan has been a refuge for young children at risk of abuse and neglect, and a source of support for their parents. Caring for children from birth through age 12 when there is a possibility these children may be injured or neglected due to family crisis situations like homelessness, poverty, substance abuse or domestic violence, is our focus. The mission of the nursery is to improve the lives of children by providing immediate refuge and safety, and ongoing family support in an environment of unconditional love.
